As many of you know, I have recently moved over from Windstream to EMC. I appreciate my time spent with Windstream (and Hosted Solutions which was acquired by Windstream). I learned a tremendous amount about the service provider space and it’s where I started with cloud infrastructures when we set out to build our public cloud service over three years ago. It was a great place to work with many great people that I will enjoy keeping up with for many years.
I’m now an Architect on the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering for Service Providers team within EMC’s Solutions Group. Our main focus is to work with our Diamond level service providers and partners to develop as-a-service solutions for the cloud that help our SPs monetize their cloud environments. We produce many of the EMC Proven Solutions Guides that are released around cloud solutions (CaaS, BaaS, etc.)
At this time, I’m primarily focused on working with our partners such as Cisco, VMware, and Intel on joint solution efforts. So far I’m really enjoying EMC as a company and my team is a great group of people to work with. I’m learning something new every day and that’s one of the things I value most about where I work.
Look for some more posts coming soon on the projects I’m working on. Many of them include integration with technologies scheduled to be released several quarters out so I may not be able to disclose details but I will try to give you some general ideas for what we are working on.
